Several adjuvants were tested for effectiveness as a  fruit thinning treatment  for cling peach. they were applied in various combinations with activators and ATS. Organic oils, fish, soybean and cottonseed oil, and lime sulfur were also tested as thinning agents.  In other trials, mechanical thinning methods were compared to hand thinning.

The impact of treatments of growth regulators, including CPPU and Gibberellin, on fruit firmness and maturity was measured. Several hand-held gauges used to measure fruit firmness were compared and discussed.
