About Group
Connecting HANDs (Health, Activity, Nutrition Directions) is a coalition of over twenty public service organizations doing business in Amador and Calaveras Counties. Our mission is to connect community resources and improve the quality of life through the pursuit of healthy lifestyles. Our first major health initiative is called ”Take a Step to Health”. The purpose of the program is to support individuals and groups in their efforts to increase healthful diets, increase physical activity and reduce tobacco usage and exposure.
