Gold Standard: Eat a healthy breakfast daily

Studies show that both children and adults who have breakfast are better at problem-solving and concentrating. Breakfast eaters:
Stay alert
Have more energy all day
Have better memories
Have better moods
Can control the amount of food eaten during the day
Less likely to over eat at the end of the day
To start your new healthy breakfast routine, try to include foods from three food groups. Limit or eliminate traditional breakfast foods like sugar-coated cereals, doughnuts, pancakes with syrup and pastries. Healthy breakfast choices can include non-traditional foods such as leftover pizza, peanut butter sandwiches, or bean burritos.
