Defining Our Future
ANR—Putting Science to Work in an Inter-Connected World
April 27-30, 2009, Sacramento
The ANR statewide conference will engage you in Division strategic plan implementation and advocacy strategies to prepare the Division for short-term challenges as well as long-term goals.
Who should participate? ANR campus- and county-based academics and staff. Be prepared to actively participate in interactive, facilitated sessions.
Conference Goals
Obtain input from participants on the implementation of ANR's newly developed strategic plan. You will interact with colleagues, discuss the strategic plan and begin development of the road map to achieve ANR’s vision for 2025.
- Empower all to become advocates for ANR. Sessions will build on the basic advocacy training provided in January and February. If we don’t advocate for ANR, who will? Our future depends on it!
- Provide an opportunity to meet with decision makers. Tuesday’s reception is an opportunity to interact with those who make the decisions that impact your work life. State legislators, legislative staff and UC leaders have been invited to attend and learn about ANR. It’s critical to our success that we effectively communicate what we do to the decision makers!
- Provide an opportunity to gain a better understanding of ANR through displays, workshops, and networking opportunties.
You are essential to the success of this conference, so register asap!
