ANR South Coast Research and Extension Center 

Research
 
Located on 200 acres, SCREC has land suitable for growing row, orchard and field crops, and turfgrass, landscape and nursery plants. Usable orchards are available for new research on 'Hass' avocado trees. There is also ample greenhouse bench space.
 
The center also provides labor, equipment, facilities and technical and management support to UC academics and to personnel from co-operating non-UC organizations, such as USDA. Projects approved by the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) will be eligible for SCREC labor support
 

2009 RESEARCH RATE:

The Full Cost rate per hour for research is $55.98 per hour.

ANR and SCREC used funds from different sources to subsidize this research rate by $43.80 per hour for all University of California Researchers. Therefore, the subsidized research rate for UC-Researchers is:

$12.18/ per hour.
