Greenhouses
The Center's six greenhouses contain 9290 square-feet and are equipped with a variety of configurations including open floor space for raised beds or moveable rows of slatted, free-draining, metal benches. Micro injection of fertilizer is possible through the greenhouse irrigation. The greenhouses can be both heated (hot water or forced air) and cooled (evaporative). The cooling is not cross-ventilation. This provides a better environment for rearing insects. A 1,530 square-foot lathe house is also available. The adjacent headhouses are all climate controlled. They are designed to support the various uses and individual needs of greenhouse use and contain adequate storage space.
