History
Fair Oaks Horticulture Center has an annual vegetable demonstration area located in the back of the Fair Oaks Horticulture Center. Each Spring, Master Gardeners select annual vegetables to grow based on public interest. There are several beds in which different annual vegetables are planted each year. In 2006, there were two rows of tomatoes, one row of eggplant, okra, and chili peppers, one row of soya beans and chinese long beans and one row of basil and other herbs. Two of the rows were being used to demonstrate solarization techniques.
Check out the 2010 Workshop Schedule to get information on workshops about growing vegetables.
