Vision

Vision: The purposes of this workgroup are:

a) To support and increase the competence of out-of-school care workers

b) To provide a venue for sharing new resources and updates on current out-of-school care research and extension activities.

Membership = Partnership

Membership: Youth Development Professionals who have an active interest and are working in out-of-school care related issues are welcome to participate.

Participation Expectations: To coordinate our activities, we conduct the following:.

Working Meetings are conducted to coordinate, update and plan around a specific workgroup projects. Therefore, not everyone is expected to attend. However, those that attend the working meetings are expected to take on some specific task around the projects.

Semi-Annual Workgroup Meeting is focused around professional development. Everyone is expected to attend and share or update the group on their work around the Out-of-school care issue. This meeting will have minimal or no business issues in the agenda. Instead, it is more of a conference or professional development format.

Workgroup Member Roles: Although we are all members of this workgroup, we have various roles from consultants to the projects to individuals who take on project activities. Based on your choice of participation, we suggest for you to attend the appropriate meetings.
