The National Viticulture Research Conference (NVRC) arose out of a desire to establish a national-level forum focused solely on viticulture research. The purpose of the conference is to provide public and private researchers, post-docs, scientific staff and students an opportunity to present their technical work to their colleagues during an intensive three-day program.
The 1st annual NVRC, sponsored by the University of California, Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, was held July 18-20, 2007, and you can read all the proceedings abstracts on this website. Photos from the 2007 conference are welcome and we will post submissions on the photo gallery. We envision that the NVRC will continue to offer this forum each year, with the location rotating among different academic centers of viticulture research.
Preparations for the 2008 conference to be held July 9, 10 and 11, 2008 at UC Davis are underway, and the Organizing Committee urges those interested to submit their registrations through this website as soon as possible. Payment and abstracts are not due at this time; however, registering will help us contact attendees via email. Registration for this meeting is limited to the first 200 individuals who complete online registration.
This website offers information about the conference program, registration procedures, preparation and submission of abstracts, hotel accommodations in Davis, and an update on key dates and deadlines. We are convinced that this will be a very successful conference and are looking forward to seeing you at this special event at UC Davis.
