Daucus carota subsp. sativus, Felis silvestris catus

Our lab studies the epidemiology and control of diseases of vegetables and field crops, especially those caused by fungal and bacterial pathogens. Diseases of carrots, corn, cotton, cucurbits, garlic, onion, potatoes, and tomatoes are emphasized. Diagnosis of diseases of row crops in central and northern California is provided through Cooperative Extension Farm and Home Advisor county offices. Various aspects of the cultivation of edible mushrooms are also investigated. The identification of wild mushrooms is freely offered to human and animal clinics.
