If you don't find your answer there, you can call the UCCE Master Gardener hotline at 253-4221 or toll free from Upvalley and American Canyon at 877 279-3065 or you can email your problem to MasterGardeners@co.napa.ca.us

The following information is needed in order to diagnosis your plant problem:

• Kind of plant if known, if not a detailed description
• Approximate age of plant
• A description of the problem
• Environmental conditions, such as:
• Drainage
• Soil type -Clay? Raised bed?
• Exposure to sun or shade
• Irrigation - How often? How long? Automatic?
• Chemicals used within 6 months.
• Have the symptoms spread slowly? Suddenly? Just this week?

Please include your phone number in case we need more information. You will receive a response within one week.

Better yet, bring in a sample of the problem to the UC Cooperative Extension office at 1710 Soscol Avenue, Suite 4 in Napa. Master Gardeners are in the office 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
