Down the Garden Path - A Self-Guided Tour of Seven Unique Gardens in & around the City of Napa

Brochure
Visiting gardens at their prime in early summer is always a joy. We hope you will join us on Sunday, May 3, 2009 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., to walk "down the garden path" of seven unique Wine Country gardens to benefit our community education programs. Six of the gardens are owned and lovingly tended by a Napa County Master Gardener. These gardens, all in or near the city of Napa, have been chosen to highlight, promote and demonstrate individual design styles and good gardening practices with everything from roses to perennials, vegetables to vineyards, fruit trees to herbs and annuals. Each is full of ideas to take home and try in your garden.

The gardens are large and small, urban and country, casual and meticulous. They are owned and cared for by Master Gardeners, whose imaginative approach to their own gardens has resulted in healthy and productive plantings. Master Gardeners will be available in each garden, as docents, to highlight features of interest. There will be information available from the University of California Cooperative Extension on specific gardening practices emphasized in each garden.

You will be dazzled by beautiful gardens and enticed by some special plants for sale at each garden. It promises to be a full day of sunshine, surprises, garden delights and practical information. Come spend a Sunday in the beautiful Napa Valley, smelling the flowers.

Proceeds support the community educational programs of UC Master Gardeners in Napa County.
