The University of California Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners are hosting a Kids Gardening Day.

Fun and educational hands-on activities for children are composting, vermicomposting, good bugs in the garden, and all about vegetables. Children will be encouraged to transplant a vegetable to take home and nurture and also make a toad house from a clay pot that they can also take home and place in their gardens. Nutrition-based snacks and beverages will be available.

Come and go as you like during the event hours. Large youth groups are welcome with supervision.
