The Monterey Bay Master Gardeners use a special e-mail list when we want to send information to all Master Gardeners. This free service is provided through Yahoo! Groups. To learn more about the capabilities of the Yahoo! Groups service go to their web site http://groups.yahoo.com

You can sign up to join the MBMG e-mail group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mbmg or send an e-mail to Alan Schlenger (alan@cats.ucsc.edu ) with your name and e-mail address.

Once you've joined, or if you're already a member, you will automatically receive any e-mail which is sent to the Master Gardener group. You can also use any of the features available at the Yahoo! Groups MBMG web site. These include searching any of the 500 e-mails previously sent via the MBMG mailing list, a member listing of all MGs and their e-mail addresses, a calendar, and a place to post files and photos to share.

Most of us find this way of keeping in touch useful, but you have complete control over your membership and you can easily join or leave the group whenever you choose.
