When the hot weather of summer arrived,  my Colocasia esculenta showed signs of sunburn, but eventually accepted the full sun of the Napa valley.  No fertilizer was used, but the planting bed was amended with home made compost, entirely consisting of cold composted leaves of the Black Oak, Big Leaf Maple and California Buckeye. A master gardener agreed to provide a size relationship and say "HI" to all her friends.
