ANR Kearney Research and Extension Center

Kearney Research & Extension Center has two furnished dorms to meet the housing needs of University employees conducting research or teaching activities at the Center.  Non-UC visiting scientists may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis. 

Two buildings are provided, each with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a living/dining area, and a laundry.

Each bedroom has 2 twin size beds.  The dorms have phones, wireless  internet, satellite television, appliances, kitchen utensils, dishes, cleaning supplies, barbeques, and general cleaning services.  Each occupant needs to bring his or her own pillow, sheets, blankets, sleeping bag, towels, toiletry items, food, and/or laundry supplies.  Each occupant is also responsible for daily housekeeping.  Sponsoring Faculty may file dorm requests with the KREC Specialized Facility Coordinator, Laura Van der Staay, lvdstaay@uckac.edu.  Approval of requests is dependent upon demand.

Daily rates are: 

$10.00 - UC/USDA with a RAC approved project

$15.00 - UC or USDA with UC-affiliated staff, but no RAC approved project

$20.00 - USDA with non-UC-affiliated staff.

Monthly payment is by check, traveler's check, or money order made out to "UC Regents" or recharge.  There are no pre-payment requirements.
