The soil types at Kearney are mostly deep, well drained sandy loam soils predominately in the Hanford series which is typical of the east side of the Central San Joaquin Valley. Also available are limited amounts of Exeter Sandy Loam over undisturbed, shallow, well cemented hardpan.
