Site Builder allows you to easily and quickly create and maintain a web site. No special knowledge of HTML, Javascript, or web development software is required. All you need is your computer, an internet connection and a web browser. Site Builder has easy-to-use web-based forms that help you create, change, and edit your site.
There is a consistent look for all participating websites, which promotes recognition as part of the Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of California, but there is room for local photos, crop graphics, county or organization seals, etc.
County Site Builder
The Site Builder is a template-driven, customizable system for County Offices looking to have presence on the web with an easy way to update information themselves.
Participation in the County Office website support system is voluntary, but we think you'll like what you see and want to join in. Each participating UCCE County Office designates a staff member as Web Liaison . We continuely provide support and trainings which include reviews of current tools as well as introductions to new features.
Each county office's Web Liaison serves as the keeper of the county's password and as the main contact between the County Office and ANR Communication Services web support staff, a full-time programmer and web designer.
Workgroup/Program Website Support
Another Site Builder was created specifically for use by ANR workgroups and special programs. Like the county Site Builder, participation in this website support system is voluntary, but the system offers significant advantages including:
- easy navigation
- pre-loaded Workgroup project information
- file storage
- threaded email discussion groups
- password protection
- surveys, registrations and quizzes.
- And more. See the flyer for details
