Site Builder Instructions

WYSIWYG Editor

The WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor is the key to avoid coding HTML at all when using the Site Builder.  Many pages require special formatting such as

  • bold
  • italic
  • different colors
  • bullet lists
  • and more

You can do all of that formatting by manually entering in HTML codes, or, you can use the WYSIWYG editor.  The WYSIWYG editor is highly recommended as the easier option.  You can still use all of the *codes* as normal.

The WYSISYG editor is compatible with Internet Explorer only.  Netscape Navigator users will not be able to access the editor.  You can still use HTML Code

The editor is currently only available when editing a project/program.  It is accessible by clicking on the WYSISYG icon on the edit page.

Clicking on the icon will bring up the edit screen.  This screen will contain all of the text that was previously in the edit box.

If your page was previously set up using the text box, your line breaks will probably be missing.  The first time you use the WYSIWYG editor on each page, you will need to enter in the breaks and returns.

At the top of the screen is a bar containing different editing buttons.

Under the bar, there are options to change the font, and font size.

Using the editor is similar to using most other text editing programs.  Select your text, and click the appropriate button.  Give them all a try, it will be easy!
