The Program Edit Page and the Edit Sub Page screens allow you to create and edit the pages which will make up the bulk of the content on your site. They are designed to allow you a great deal of flexibity and control while maintaining the look of your entire site.
This page will outline the various functions of the Program Edit Page and the Edit Sub Page screens. It is broken down into the main features and right column options.
Main Features

Program Name/Page Name: You can edit the program or sub page name at any time using this field. Site Builder handles the names differently for both. Each name will have a code next to it on the right. This code can be use for linking pages within Site Builder (see Linking Pages and Publishing Your Site).
- Program Name: When you create a program, a folder is created on your site using that name. You will see the folder displayed as part of the URL below the Program Name as seen in the above screen shot. If you change the name of the Program, the folder name does not automatically change. To change the folder name, you must use the Edit Program URL feature described further down this page.
- Page Name: When you create a sub page, the name you call the page becomes a part of the URL. Unlike programs, creating a sub page does not create a new folder. Therefore, if you change the name of the sub page, the URL to that page automatically changes. This is important to consider prior to changing the name, as other sites might have links to your page using that URL.
URL of Program/Subpage: This field shows you the actual URL of the page on which you are working.
Description Displayed on Main Page: If you have your programs listed on your Main Page (turned on by default or on the Home Page edit screen), a description can be added which will be displayed below the program name. The description is also show on the list of programs you see when you click on the button associated with your programs on the Main Navigation Menu.

Program Graphic/Image: If you are working on a County Site, the next item under the description is the Program Graphic box. Site Builder has a built-in library of graphics you can use to dress up the list of your programs. Custom program graphics can be created. Contact Alex Zangeneh-Azam for information on custom program graphics.
To select a program graphic from the library, click "View and Select" and the following popup will appear. Click on one of the graphics, and its corresponding graphic number will be displayed in the field.

If you are working on a non-County site, you can input any program image you like, and it will be associated with the program on the list of programs. The images will be resized if they are JPGs, our recommended format.

Program/Page Text: The text box allows you to place your text and images into the page. For information on how to use the text box, please see The Text Editor.
File Library: The built-in File Library allows you to upload images and files to your site's file library and insert them into the text box without ever leaving the page or opening another one. Please see the help pages for the File Library for more information on how to use this feature.
Right Column Options
At the top of the right hand column of your Program Edit Page, you will see this box.

Save Only - Do Not Publish: Site Builder publishes pages to HTML (see Linking Pages and Publishing Your Site), and this option will save your changes, but not publish the page to HTML. This allows you to make changes to your program over a period to time and then publish the page upon completion.
Save and Publish: Site Builder publishes pages to HTML (see Linking Pages and Publishing Your Site), and this option will save your changes and publish them immediately. Publishing a program includes publishing all of the sub pages within the program.
Delete Program: This will deleted the program and all sub pages within it.
At the top of the right hand column of your Sub Page Edit screen, you will see this box.

Save Subpage: Saves the changes you made to the subpage. This does not immediately republish the subpage. You must use the republish command described for the Program Edit Page to updated the subpage on your site.
Delete Subpage: Deletes the subpage and it's contents.
Below the save and delete box, you will find subpages and additional options for programs. For the subpages, you will see one simple option box. First, let's look at the programs.

The list of subpages shows you any subpages associated with the program. There are arrows to change the order of the pages and a link to create a new subpage. Clicking on any of the subpage names will take you to the edit screen for that subpage. Site Builder also displays the page numbers of the subpages, so that you can easily create links to the subpages from the program page using the file code system (see File Codes and File Types). Subpages that are hidden (see subpage options below) will have a asterisk by their names in this list.
Program Options

Show Progarm on Main Navigation Menu: If you have an active program, but you don't want it to show up in the navigation menu, you can uncheck this box. This is useful if your program is actually a sub-section of another program, but it is large enough to require more than a subpage. You can also show and hide programs in the list of all programs (see Main Program List).
Connect to Newsletter: If you have a program that is associated with an newsletter group, you can connect to it by clicking on the name of the newsletter group from the list. If you connect to a newsletter, a link will show in your navigation under the program name. This link will take users directly to the list of newsletters in that group.
Edit Program URL: If you would like to change the name of your folder or redirect the program link to another location, click the button to edit the program URL. Please be sure to save any changes to your program page before clicking the button, as you will be leaving the program page to edit the URL. You may want to edit the program folder name if its incorrect or exceptionally long. The redirect feature makes it possible to link to another site or page and disquise the link as a program. This is useful if you have program information that is housed on different site, but you would like it to appear as part of your site's content.
Subpage Options

Add page name to program sub menu: Unchecking this box will remove your subpage from the list of subpages shown in the navigation menu of your site. It is designed so that you can create more pages of content, but not have all of the pages displayed in your navigation menu. Consider hiding subpages and linking to them from other pages in the program that are not hidden. This will give the illusion of another level of subpages, even though Site Builder only has one.
Here's an example of hiding subpages - Dave wants to create a page that describes all of the items listed on the program edit page. He can either create a very long subpage (like the one you are one), or he can break out different sections into hidden subpages and then link to them when appropriate.
Associate Page with Web site: Like the edit program URL for the Program Options, if you enter a URL in the box, the subpage will link to another page rather than display any content created using the subpage edit screen.
