Creating a new Site Builder Web site begins by going to the main Site Builder sign-in screen at http://ucanr.org/sitebuilder and clicking "Create New Website".

Here you will fill out a form with some details about your new site. Many of these items can be edited at a later time.
Group Name: What do you want your site to be called?
Group Shorthand: What do you want the URL or Web site address to look like? For example, a long Group Name might be shortened to an acronym to allow for a smaller URL. Please note: the Group Shorthand cannot be edited once your site has been created.
Choose Unit or Workgroup: If this site will be connected to an ANR Unit or Workgroup, you can select the it from the drop down list. Connecting to an ANR Unit or Workgroup will automatically pull staff or member information from the directory and display it on your site. You must be part of the unit or workgroup in order to connect it to your site.
Your Email Address: Enter your email address. You must be in the ANR directory in order to create a site in Site Builder.
Password: Enter a password. This will be the password you use to log into Site Builder unless you go through the ANR Portal.
