Creating Photo Albums

If you have a lot of pictures in your File Library, you may want to create a 'photo album.' A photo album allows your visitors to flip through several pictures easily, and will only load one image at a time.

Once you have assembled your pictures into a File Library group (Using Groups), creating the photo album like the one below is very easy.

Step 1 - Make sure you have pictures in your file library.  These pictures all need to be in the same group and they need to be either .jpg or .gif files.  If there are other types of files in the group, they will be ignored.

Step 2 - Decide where you want the link to be on your site.

Step 3 - Enter in the album code on the page you want to link from.  The album code is easy, it looks like this: *album9999*.  You would replace the '9999' with the group number that your pictures are in.

Also, you can determine the order that pictures are displayed in your album, by going into the file library, and modifying the 'File Sort order in Group' field.  The lowest numbers will appear first.

The name of the file will be displayed as the caption, unless you have the caption turned off in the file library entry.
