Aging Californian's Workgroup Plans
One of the main goals of the workgroup is to provide information dissemination. We plan to continue publishing the "California Aging Issues" newsletter, and update the WEB page. The WEB page will be expanded to provide information on aging resources in California.
We also plan to provide senior seminars for CE advisors. Dr. Linda Jackson, an economist for the Department of Labor, specializes in aging issues. She has offered to help organize seminars on financial issues, such as explaining changes in Medicare.
In addition to the above, we will hold an aging conference in the fall of 2004. The conference has two purposes: to provide programming information for CE advisers and to provide links to local agencies dealing with aging issues.
