Since the Communication Services poster printing service began 3 years ago, several thousand posters have been produced for Division personnel. Originally we used a heavy-duty matte paper. Over time the images, both graphics and photos, became dull, and the paper didn't hold the dyes well if exposed to light for prolonged periods.

 

We have identified a semi-gloss paper that produces considerably sharper images and is a more manageable weight for rolling and handling. The cost for the poster service with the new paper is the same, $4 per square foot, which is about 70 percent less than commercially available for the same service. Our turnaround time remains 3 to 5 days. Submit your file for printing at our web site and we will either ship the poster to you or hold it for you to pick up from our Davis office.
