Advocacy and Strategic Communications Task Force Final Report (June 2008)

Read the final report and recommendations of the ANR Advocacy and Strategic Communications Task Force. The 17-member task force, appointed by Vice President Dan Dooley in Feb 2008 was chaired by Don Klingborg, Associate Dean for the School of Veterinary Medicine. The final report, delivered in Jun 2008, provides a draft plan and recommendations for implementing a coordinated and sustained advocacy initiative in ANR. The goals of this effort are to increase the visibility of UC with elected officials and other decision makers and show how ANR research and Cooperative Extension programs are making a real difference in the lives and livelihoods of Californians in every legislative district. The ANR advocacy initiative will be coordinated with the roll out and implementation of the ANR Strategic Plan that is now under development.
