California 4-H Statewide Camping Task Force Purpose
The overall goal of the task force is to help assure healthy, safe, high quality, well-run, educational and fun camping program experiences for campers and staff through the
· Develop and support implementation of statewide standards for
· Develop and support implementation of criteria for planning, operating and evaluating 4-H Camp programs statewide.
· Develop ways to disseminate information regarding the California Statewide 4-H Camping Program
· Develop and promote opportunities for staff, volunteer, and youth training related to the 4-H Camping Program.
The Camping Task Force is composed of approximately twenty members, including:
o Environmental Education Statewide Advisor
o
The task force generally meets quarterly, or as needed and agreed by task force members; e.g. January, April, July and October.
