JC Training Day on Sunday, May 17, 2009 - 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the 4-H Office.

  • Interviews
  • How activities function and the skills required in each area
  • First Year JC's - policy review

Pre-Camp Training on July 5, 2009 at Camp Oakhurst in Coarsegold.

  • Learn skills: campfire skits, program planning, dealing with homesickness, shy kids, bedwetting, bullies, keeping campers interested, etc.
  • Health and safety concepts: child abuse, reporting, accident prevention, camper health needs, etc.
  • Emergency procedures: fire, lost 4-Hers, location of medical cabin
  • Activity Assignments
  • Learn the layout of camp
