Youth Development Program
The 4-H Youth Development program offers Marin youth ages 5-teens valuable life skills in leadership, community service, and science.

Fourteen young people from the summer youth boat building program built and launched a 12-foot Norwegian Pram named "Guppy". The Spaulding Center teamed with 4-H and Big Brothers/Big Sisters and recruited veteran boat builder Craig Southard to lead the program.

Outreach to community youth organizations grows

The naturalist trainings have been particularly interesting, and the most useful and engaging parts of these trainings have been the nature walk portions. - Katie Osborn

There were 1,824 Marin youth participating in clubs, summer camps, after school and nutrition groups throughout the county, hatching chicks, prepping school garden plots, leading talks, cleaning up beaches, and experiencing the hands-on learning 4-H is famous for.
