This program facilitates the collection, use and/or disposal of woody materials infected with Phytophthora ramorum, the pathogen resposnible for Sudden Oak Death disease. Guidelines and procedures are provided that minimize the risk of spreading the disease. Research projects are underway to evaluate how the disease may move in utilization streams and to search for viable and safe utiliztion processes.
