Master Gardeners' Demonstration Gardens at Marin County Fair inform, entertain. Educating the public on gardening is the mission of the UC Marin Master Gardeners, and this year they're gone all out to inform - and entertain - at the Marin County Fair. Three demonstration gardens have been designed with signage for self-led tours, and docents will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day of the fair.
Marin Master Gardeners Receive Marin Conservation League Award for Joint Program with MMWD. The Marin Master Gardeners recently received the Marin Conservation League's 2009 Ted Wellman Water Award for the "Bay Friendly Garden Walk" program launched in 2008 in partnership with the Marin Municipal Water District. The garden walk program was developed to give home gardeners customized information about water-wise landscaping.
