December is almost here!

This month's pick up will begin on December 16th , and chicken has been added to the shipment! The fabulous Chef Job Carder of Manzanita Restaurant will be our featured chefs for this month!  Add-on's are available for purchase, please remember to pre-order! Please pre-order one week prior to the pick-up. Some add-on's include: duck, goat, lamb, beef and pork!

Sonoma County Meat Buying Club

Have you heard of Community Supported Agriculture and their wonderful vegetable boxes filled with fresh local produce?  Now you'll be able to make the meal complete by also ordering locally grown meats...

 

The University of California Cooperative Extension in Sonoma County is partnering with local meat producers to begin a program that will allow you to have a variety of locally grown meats delivered right to a central pick-up point.  Members will receive a monthly delivery of Sonoma grown chicken, beef, pork, and lamb, plus much more...

  • recipes from Job Carder ofManzanita Restaurant in Healdsburg and cooking instructions for different cuts
  • details about the ranches that raised your meats

December's order will include Local ChickenCorn-finished Beef from Rick Olufs, pasture-raised lamb from Joe Pozzi, and  humanely raised pork from Jube Begley.

 We are looking into adding a pick up location for St. Helena! If you are interested please email Stephanie Larson at slarson@ucdavis.edu.

We also have a special Holiday Box, 6 lbs total composed of three of your chosen types of meat (chicken, beef, pork, lamb, and goat) for $50.00! If you are interested email Jacqueline Rotlisberger at mdgoats@csufresno.edu.  The order form is available on the side bar.

Gift Certificates are available for the Meat Buying Club, to be given as holiday gifts!

**Some exchanges of equal value will be allowed (ie exchange pork for lamb in the small orders)!  We will have selected cuts available for exchange at both pick-up sites.
