ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday, January 1, 2010
We encourage the submission of papers and posters based on original research and/or research or production updates. All abstracts must be submitted in the English language. Extended abstracts for oral presentations should cover an even number of pages (2 or 4 pages). Details of abstract format are specified below. Extended abstracts for oral presentations and poster abstracts should be prepared with care as only formatting aspects will be subject to editing. Authors are requested to send abstracts by e-mail in MS Word (.doc file) or Rich Text Format (.rtf file). Please name your file with the surname of the first author and a few key words from the title (for example: Hashim Evaluation of Rootstocks). For files from the same author, please use distinct key words so that the files are easily distinguishable.
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed and accepted abstracts will be published in a publication entitled Proceedings of the 6th International Table Grape Symposium. Presenters are requested to adhere to the deadline in order to provide ample time for review, collating and printing of the proceedings. FORMAT INSTRUCTIONS: EXTENDED ABSTRACTS FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS
Text, inclusive of figures, tables, and references should be at least two (2) pages but should not exceed four (4) printed US LETTER pages (8.5" X 11"). Extended abstracts should be left-justified, have 1-inch margins (top, bottom, left and right) and should adhere to the format specified below. Please note: Abstracts submitted as a single (1) page or three (3) pages will not be accepted.
TITLE (In Uppercase letters, bold type, left justified)
The title should reflect the important aspects of the paper as concisely as possible, in no more than 100 characters and spaces.
BYLINE (in Title Case, left justified)
Author(s) full name(s); Name of the corresponding author should be followed by an asterisk (*); Institutional affiliations and postal addresses of all authors; Telephone, Fax number, and the E-mail address for corresponding author. Please place the name of the presenter in bold type. See sample abstract below for complete description and format.

The text should be single spaced, with double spaced lines between paragraphs. Arial font, size 10 is required. References should be listed in alphabetical order and include only works that have been published. All authors of an article must be listed in the References section, unless there are over 12 authors (if so, list the first author and “et al.”). If a source has no author, list the sponsoring organization or publisher; do not use “Anonymous.”
If more than one work by the same author is cited, list the publications in chronological order; if the year is identical, insert lowercase letters (i.e., a, b, c) after the date according to the order each source is cited in the text. In the text of the paper, reference the source by author and date in parentheses. If two or more authors appear in the cited work, use only first author’s name and the abbreviation et al.

Participants of the poster session must submit an abstract summarizing the information presented in their poster. Abstracts should be submitted in US LETTER format (8.5" X 11"), left-justified and have 1-inch margins (top, bottom, left and right). The text should be single spaced and Arial font, size 10 is required. All abstracts for poster presentations should adhere to the format specified below. ABSTRACT
The body of the abstract (250 words maximum) should start on the next line and should state the hypothesis, purpose of the research, experimental plan used, results (without experimental details or data) and conclusions. Please do not include or cite references, figures, or tables.
