General Characteristics: Eastern grey squirrels are medium-sized arboreal squirrels. Coloration ranges from dark to pale grey backs with reddish tints on hips, feet and head. Tails and stomachs appear white to pale grey. They are diurnal squirrels active year-round.
Feeding Habits: These grey squirrels feed on nuts, flowers and buds of a number of trees and plants. They will also feed on available seeds and seedlings from available sources as well as bird eggs, nestlings and frogs.
Habitat: Arboreal
