The challenge of controlling weeds on organic row crop operations was the subject of this workshop, "The War on Weeds." The presenters provided information and options for organic and sustainable farmers to battle the ongoing struggle of weed control in organic operations. The workshop included demonstrations of flaming and other mechanized weed control tactics.

SPEAKERS:
Tom Lanini, a weed ecologist from UC Davis with an expertise in non-chemical weed control
Warren Weber, a leader in the organic farming movement, who began raising row crops in Bolinas in 1974.
