Grown In Marin

This grafting and pruning workshop was given by Paul Vossen, UCCE Marin & Sonoma Specialty Crop Advisor, to approximately 40 participants. We provided 3/8-inch semi-dwarf apple rootstock to the workshop attendees. Some of the workshop participants brought "new wood" of 3/8" diameter for grafting and the rest of the required materials were provided by UCCE staff. Also, grafting starts were provided from the Gale orchard for those who didn't have apple grafts. Paul also gave a pruning demonstration and talked about apple tree cultivation.

$20 covered materials and lunch.
