These workshops will provide forest landowners, foresters and consultants with an understanding of the basics of the current carbon market, California carbon registry and provide information about whether it is appropriate for you or your clients.

The morning session will provide an overview of what is involved in selling carbon in the current carbon market and provide discussion of future markets. The afternoon session will explore specific logistical details such as determining if your current inventory is sufficient; what is involved in the third party verification and auditing of your actual and potential carbon storage; how to establish a carbon baseline; and an introduction to easements for carbon projects.
