Gallery Walk

Share your ideas, strategies and special projects related to your work as County Director. As each of us works to maintain and improve Cooperative Extension in our counties, we come up with many creative solutions and great project ideas from which others could benefit. Give other County Directors, new ANR Associate Vice President Rick Standiford and invited guests, including Vice President Gomes and UC President Dynes, an opportunity to learn more about your work.

The planning committee invites you to participate in a Gallery Walk to be featured during the conference reception from 5:00 - 6:30pm on Tuesday, May 3rd. Any poster or display that represents your work as a County Director is appropriate. We intend for this to be a no-pressure activity, so if you don't have time to create something new, bring something you already have on hand, or have your staff help you create a poster or display. You can make more than one if you're feeling inspired! A survey of County Director interest in this conference suggests many possible topics, including, but no limited to:

Marketing Cooperative Extension
Interacting with county officials
How to prepare a county budget
Problem-solving
Supervision issues
Liaison activities with CSAC
Time management
Handling county administrative issues
Fundraising
Creative partnerships
Coping with staffing shortages

To submit a poster, go to Call for Posters. All submissions must be received by March 1st!

Displays will be set up the first day of the conference. Feel free to call or e-mail the following committee members if you want to discuss an idea or need assistance. We look forward to hearing from you!
