Summary

1. Create the original image file for your most likely demanding application.

2. With a scanner, use 300 dpi for major publications, 150 dpi for everything else.

3. Set size equal to your most demanding intended use.

4. TIFF is the best starting file format to cover all likely uses.

5. WMF is best for graphics, omitting major publication use.

6. Make sure you look at the image at 100% resolution.

7. Make copies of your original files. Do not make adjustments to the originals.
